The Rise of the Flex-Enabled Broker

Upflex’s Mike LaRosa sits down with partners at Cushman & Wakefield and Avison Young for a discussion about how brokers are helping occupiers future-proof their workspace strategies with flex.

Occupiers of all sizes rely on the expertise of CRE professionals to find the right workspace — and that’s especially true now, as the very concept of the office is being completely reimagined.

As we’re coming up onto Q4 2022 — which means we’re very close to three years since COVID-19 really, radically changed the way the world works — it’s no secret that most companies are finally embracing some form of hybrid work. They’ve been kicking the can down the road since probably the summer of 2020, and we’re now hearing that as many as 70% or more corporate clients are adopting flexible work policies.

At Upflex, we’ve been working closely with brokers to design customized solutions for their corporate clients, and we’re definitely not alone in seeing that occupiers are looking for more flexibility and control when it comes to their workspace. I sat down (virtually) with Upflex partners Christine Wyckoff, director of enterprise sales and partnerships at Cushman & Wakefield and Jillian Brown, director of global occupier business solutions at Avison Young, to explore solutions that are helping occupiers keep up with this change.
